Instructions are hard for me to write

Writing instructions are hard, well at least for me. I and some other people got a follow up from a writing workshop we went to. The follow up was to write instructions on how to tie a shoelace. When I started, I undid my shoelace and every time I did something I would write that as a step. It took me five steps to finish my set of instructions. A couple days after we had another workshop where we had to edit the first and make it better. Some people, like me chose to restart completely and rewrite it as a second draft and some people tweaked their writing a little bit to make it better.
